Petkeljärvi nationalpark 70 år
Finlands minsta, men inte den minsta, nationalpark är Petkeljärvi. I åslandskapet med klara vildmarkssjöar kan man se spår av försvarsbyggnader från fortsättningskriget, av vilka några har restaurerats.
Petkeljärvis födelsedagsfest hålls lördagen den 29 augusti 2026. Vandringscentrets café-naturstuga öppnar sina dörrar klockan 8.00 och serverar frukost. Programmet under dagen inkluderar bland annat gratis kajakutbildning, kakakaffe som erbjuds av Forststyrelsen, sånggruppen Lempo uppträder på eftermiddagen, Tiina Hakkarainen från Forststyrelsen berättar om Petkeljärvis historia och fackförfattaren Pepe Forsberg presenterar sin senaste bok, Nationalparkernas hemliga mappar. Så det finns ett brett utbud av program i beredskap. Varmt välkomna.
