Park Ranger's Cabin

As its name suggests, the Park Ranger's Cabin was originally built as a park ranger's home. The cabin was built in the early 60s and is mostly in its original condition. In September and October, a basic temperature of +15 degrees Celsius is maintained with portable electric heaters, and additional heating is provided by wood-burning stoves.

• Extra bed option for four in the cabin's annex. Beds have mattresses and pillows. The annex can be booked in the additional services section of the booking form. The additional price for the annex is 30€/day, and the rental period is the same as for the main cabin. It is recommended to use your own sleeping bag.
• The cabin's kitchen has a wood-burning stove with a small baking oven, a 2-burner electric hob, a microwave, coffee maker, and kettle. Dishes and cooking utensils. Refrigerator with a freezer compartment. Dishwashing water is carried from the small Kuikkalampi pond and heated either in the sauna's water heater or in a pot on the wood-burning or electric stove.
• Drinking water should either be brought along or taken from the hiking center when collecting the key.
• Two bedrooms. One has a bunk bed and a single bed, bed sizes 80 x 200 cm, and the other bedroom has a double bed 160 x 200 cm and a single bed 80 x 200 cm. The beds have mattresses, mattress toppers, duvets, and pillows. No bed linen. Both bedrooms have their own wood-burning stove.
• Large living room with a table seating almost 20 people. Large heat-retaining fireplace.
• No TV, radio, or WiFi.
• Mobile phone reception is poor in places.
• Traditional outdoor toilet in an outbuilding.
• Private traditional wood-burning sauna by the clear-watered small Kuikkalampi pond. The sauna cabin has a fireplace, and the washing area is in the same space as the steam room. Washing water is carried from Kuikkalampi pond.
• Additionally, it is possible to reserve a spot for a motorhome, caravan, or tent in the cabin's yard, for an additional fee.
• Celebrating parties or inviting guests without separate agreement is forbidden.
• The price includes 1 bag (40L) of firewood per day.
• Additional firewood can be purchased in the additional services section of the booking form.
• Not maintained for winter use. The cabin is usually available for rent from mid-May until October-November, i.e., until the small Kuikkalampi pond freezes and there is too much snow for cars to reach the cabin. For late autumn situations, always inquire by phone first, 041 436 1790.
• In September and October, an electricity heating surcharge of 25€/day is added to the cabin's price.
• You can order pre-heating of the wood-burning stoves (in September and October). The renter is responsible for continued heating.
