Tent pitches

On Finnish Nature Day, Saturday 29.08.26, we celebrate Petkeljärvi National Park's 70th birthday, when tent pitches are super affordable! The discount applies only to pitches purchased via our website for the period Fri 28. - Sun 30.8. No free cancellation right for discounted pitches.

There are 10-15 tent pitches available, depending on the tent size. The tent and hammock area is open annually, weather permitting, from May to October. Please note that you cannot book a spot via our website if the booking and arrival dates are the same; online reservations must be made at least 1 day in advance. If you are arriving today, please check availability by phone at 041 436 1790.

In the nearly natural tent area, you feel like you're in the middle of the forest, even though services are only a hundred meters away. It's easy to come here with small children to practice camping, or at the start of a longer hiking trip to prepare for departure, or upon returning to relax for a moment before heading home. For example, during the Pogosta tour (91km), you can leave your car in our parking area.

Note, all forms of open fires are strictly forbidden in the Campsite. There are two separate campfire sites behind the main building for making open fires.  A campfire or other open fire must never be lit if the surrounding conditions (due to dryness, wind, or other reasons) are such that there is an obvious danger of a forest fire, grass fire, or other fire – do not light!

The price includes a tent pitch, and the use of toilets, showers, cooking facilities, and a campfire site. From the beginning of June to the end of August, there is also a general sauna slot in the main building's electric saunas from 7-9 PM. Separate saunas for women and men. (schedule changes possible).
