On a guided boat trip we will explore the waters surrounding the national park, Petkeljärvi and Valkiajärvi. On the way we may see the Northern Plover at its nest or fishing, the American beaver and the national park's emblematic bird, the Kuika, swimming, and we will also see how the border zone of our eastern border is marked in the middle of the lake, along which in principle we could reach Russia, but we will still stay closely on the Finnish side. During the trip, the guide will tell you about, among other things, how the ice age has shaped the ridge landscapes, the history of the area and its special features.
